The Outsidemen - "Band Overboard"

That's a great disc. I think it is the best Mike Miller recording I have heard.

'IGGINBOTTOM'S WRENCH

Someone here was asking about this '69 Holdsworth debut a few days ago.
I like the languid vocals. Could have sworn its John Wetton, but he's not on here.
The guitar tone is KC "Moonchild" throughout.
Some 8 yerars later the drummer shows up on the First Aid "Nostradamus" lp.

This is so good I'd like to pidgeonhole it under protoprog, but ,seeing as its coming from jazz and not psych, I cant.
Listening to THAT fusion lp is like sucking creamcorn from the socket, then licking thirty year old tire carcass at the back of Planet Earth ParkingLot.

Definitely concur with that.

That record showcases more of the full range of what Mike can do on the guitar than any other, IMO.

From what I've read, that's Holdsworth doing the vocals on 'Igginbottom's Wrench!
I gotta get that album.

Well, I haven't been listening to anything as exotic as what most of you have mentioned, but today I've listened to:

We Keep On - Embryo (Imagine Weather Report w/ a very coked-up John McLaughlin on guitar and Joe Strummer's Germanic cousin on vocals)
Believe It! - The New Tony Williams Lifetime
and as I type this, I'm listening to
Hot Rats - Frank Zappa

I also can't stop listening to
Strange Meeting - Powertools(Bill Frissel)

That pic instantly reminded me of Miles Davis' story about being in the car w/ Charlie Parker and that "white bitch"...
That story may be the definition of TMI.  :o

Sebastiaan Cornelissen "U-Turn"
Another Dutch drummer, another excellent release. The line-up on this cd is like reading the book Who's Who in Fusion.
