Links and Resources
« on: July 21, 2010, 09:59:21 AM »
Here are some links I've found to fusion related sites:

Music stores:

Abstractlogix - All fusion, guitar, instrumental, etc. They have a lot of hard to find recordings, and ship fast.

Audiophile Imports - Similar to Abstractlogix

The Jazz/Rock Fusion Page - A good take on history & seminal recordings. The author pretty much stop's at 1980, but some good stuff there.

Internet radio & downloads:

FusioGroovin - my favorite internet radio station. The place I discovered a bunch of my favorite artists.

Eargasm - Love the name! Fusion radio by the Fuzoid.

jazzfusion TV Bootleg audio & video downloads, and home of the NY fusion collective.

The Fusion Show - 89.3 WCSB Cleaveland. Every Friday from 1:00-3:00

Dime a Dozen - Live concert recording resource beyond your wildest dreams. It's a torrent based site. you just need to be aware of the rules regarding you ratio.

I have ordered from Audiophile Imports a number of times.  Yeah, sometimes the wait is pretty long, but they've always come through and I have always received my CD's.  Fantastic selection of stuff though!
Find me at www.deanwatson.bandcamp.com
I'm also on CD Baby!
Coming soon "Fantasizer!" My 3rd CD release!

Live 365 is a site that hosts internet radio stations of all genres. FusionGroovin is on there, which is a fine station, but I feel
AttentionSpanRadio is the best fusion radio station out there. It has a wide variety of material and does not repeat songs that often. Fusion101 is a good one as well, with some prog mixed in. All these stations are on Live 365, which you can listen to for free, but for a small amount of money you can get it completely commercial free, with better sound and with more choice of stations.

Just added Eargasm to my presets on Live365. Thanks for the fine tip Funkle. Another great station!

Wow. The international shipping costs are really cheap, too.
Very cool, Musicgate.
....lame-ass, jive, pseudo bluesy, out-of-tune, noodling, wimped out, fucked up playing....
