Hi Guys (and Gals?):

My first post to the forum but I was really glad to find this out here.  As a long time listener (30+ years) to the world of "Jazz", my favorite arena is fusion but because of its treatment as the red-headed stepchild subgenre (even moreso than improvised music/free jazz), it is difficult to find out current info on bands and music.  It is great to find like-minded folks.

However, the point of my post is to thank you for this thread.  I am never in touch with new fusion and end up going back to the old reliables more frequently than I'd like.  I *did* discover MoonJune a few years ago so I love all of the Dewa Budjana records.  I agree that Zentury is way at the top.  I also bought the Antoine Fafard record and that is a killer.

Welcome to the forum, jacofan. Hope you find it to your liking.

Most of these albums can be sampled somewhere online. youtube is your friend, in most cases. Have fun discovering!

Welcome jacofan. Good to see someone new on here! Like you I find this forum really helpful in tracking down good music and I'm pleased that you seem to share my taste in fusion - Flying Machines, Budjana and Fafard are all favourites of mine too.

I got the new Dewa, and it's great, for sure.  Also got the newest Tohpati and love that.  And Khronos is great as well.  I'll try to get a list together.
