Ever seen an iPod Shuffle? Around $60 for a device that doesn't even give you the option of picking what you want to hear.
But it comes in 8 cheery colors.

And I'll bet that will come in handy when the buyer's remorse sets in.
....lame-ass, jive, pseudo bluesy, out-of-tune, noodling, wimped out, fucked up playing....

I think I have at least 3 of those things lying around and I'm not even sure where they came from. Maybe offspring from the iphone & ipad?

That's why you gotta keep them in one of those rubber sleeves they sell, man.

They don't make high-capacity mobile players anymore, which is just ridiculous. If I could get a 200 or 300 gb player, I'd consider it. But I'm not going to deal with trying to organize the 32gb I have available on my phone. It's easier just to pick out a CD or two from the shelf each morning.

This looks interesting:

A 240G HDD replaces the drive in an iPod.

240 G ---that would be cool!

I heard someone did a 160G iPod classic retrofit with flash (non-moving) memory.....would like to see how that was done, as it sounds impractical.....for now.

It would be cool, but also a little silly putting $200+ into old tech that is on it's way out.
